Waterloo Regional Police Service’s break, enter, and vehicle theft team is investigating a residential break-in and several suspicious person reports in Cambridge last week.
On Feb. 13, at approximately 4:50 p.m., an unknown male approached a residence in the area of Blair Road and Fountain Street South. He rang the doorbell several times before leaving.
A short time later, two unknown males entered the residence by breaking a rear patio door and stole personal property, including jewellery and handbags.
The same males were observed approaching residences in the area in the hours before the break-in.
Investigators would like to identify and speak with the individuals pictured above in connection to this incident.
Police are encouraging homeowners to consider the following safety measures to help prevent break-and-enters:
- Lock windows and doors, including garage doors, even when home.
- Ensure valuables are secured in a locked location, such as a safe.
- Consider installing a surveillance/security system, which can remotely monitor the front, rear, and inside the residence.
- Report any suspicious activity or individuals to police immediately.
The investigation remains ongoing by the break, enter, and vehicle theft team.
