A 35-year-old Cambridge man is facing two charges related to the distribution and possession of child pornography after police executed a search warrant in Galt today.
Waterloo Regional Police Service's Cybercrime - Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit began an investigation after a social media service reported to the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children that a user was in possession of and making child pornography available.
As part of the investigation, on Feb. 20, the ICE Unit completed a search warrant at a residence in Galt.
The man was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
