Police search for driver after vehicle hits home in Kitchener

Residence was occupied but there are no reports of any physical injuries, say police

Police are looking for a person who fled on foot after a vehicle hit a residence in Kitchener early Thursday morning.

On Oct. 24, at around 3 a.m., police responded to the area of Simeon Street and Weber Street East for a report of a motor vehicle being driven into a residence.

The home was occupied but there are no reports of any physical injuries, said an Oct. 24 Waterloo Regional Police news release.

Police are still searching for the driver so they can check on their well-being. The person was last seen on foot in the St. Peters Cemetery not far from the collision, said the release.
