Cambridge male, 48, arrested in connection with sexual assault

Romeo Jr. Viojan has been arrested and charged with sexual assault by Waterloo Regional Police Service.

Police have arrested a 48-year-old Cambridge man for an alleged sexual assault of a woman.

Waterloo Regional Police Service received a report of a sexual assault that took place between March and April of this year.

The report involved a male personal support worker who sexually assaulted an older female victim.

As a result of the investigation by special victims unit investigators, police arrested Romeo Jr. Viojan on Oct. 16 and charged him with sexual assault.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 14.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Special Victims Unit.
