Kitchener man arrested in connection with July weapon incident

Waterloo regional police have arrested a Kitchener man in connection with a firearm incident in Kitchener in July.

On July 28 at around 12:30 p.m., police responded to the area of Bent Willow Drive for a disturbance.

During the investigation, police learned a 23-year-old female victim had a firearm pointed at her after an argument with a known male. The male left prior to police arrival and was not located.

There were no reports of any physical injuries.

On Oct. 3, Waterloo Regional Police located the male in the area of Paulander Drive and Victoria Street South.

The 20-year-old Kitchener man was arrested and charged for multiple criminal offences including point a firearm, uttering threats to cause death, and assault with a weapon.

The male was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
