Nothing says fall more than a fall fair! And nothing could be better than the Rockton World’s Fair, held on the Thanksgiving weekend each year since 1852.
“The Rockton World’s Fair has it all!” enthused Sandra Coleta, Rockton Agricultural Society General Manager. “We have a fantastic midway, a school fair, terrific vendors, and lots of exhibits. We also have a karaoke show, talent show, baby show, and a pet show. Not to mention, the pie eating contest, the spelling bee, and of course, the demo derby!”
The Rockton World’s Fair is held each year at the Rockton Fairgrounds, 812 Old Highway 8.
The Hamilton Street Railway is offering free shuttle services during the fair.
Fair hours are:
- Friday October 11 from 4 to 10:30 p.m.;
- Saturday October 12 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.;
- Sunday October 13 from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.;
- and Monday October 14 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The midway will be open Thursday October 10 from 5 to 9 p.m., for toonie night.

She added, “You can also enjoy a variety of entertainment options including everyone’s favourite: the demo derby! There is also live music, as well as thrilling rides, and performances that will keep the whole family entertained.”
There are a variety of ticket options for the Rockton World’s Fair, including weekend and family passes.
