A 35-year-old Cambridge man is facing several charges, including impaired, after the SUV he was driving took out a light post on Franklin Boulevard last night.
Waterloo regional police were called to the collision around 9:20 p.m. near Avenue Road.
Through the investigation, it was determined that the driver of a black GMC Terrain was travelling south on Franklin Boulevard, lost control and struck a light pole in the center median, causing the light pole to block northbound lanes.
No injuries were reported.
As a result of the investigation, police charged the driver with impaired operation and careless driving.
Franklin Boulevard was closed for the investigation and have since been reopened.
