With great sadness, we announce that after a recent cancer diagnosis, Audria Fannin passed away peacefully on October 14, 2021 in her 90th year. Predeceased by her parents, Muriel and Eric Pogel, and husband, Bill Fannin. Loving mother to Susan (Bruce) and Lisa (John), proud Nana to Douglas (Amanda) and Elizabeth (Mark), and adoring GG to Evelyn, Josephine, James and Eleanora. She will be deeply missed by her brother Rick (Debbi), brother-in-law Robert, lifelong friend Lois, and nieces/nephews.
An avid gardener, Audria took great pleasure in her beautiful gardens. She enjoyed winter in Sarasota Florida, walking the sandy beaches, viewing the lovely sunsets and reconnecting with friends. Audria was a proficient puzzle-solver (jigsaw, crossword and Sudoku) and an excellent cook, known for her delicious lemon tarts, chocolate cupcakes, and annual Christmas cakes and plum puddings. Most of all, she cherished family time, and was enchanted by her four great-grandchildren aged 3 months to 5 years.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Hospice Wellington, and also Cambridge Memorial Hospital. As per her wishes, a private family funeral has taken place.
For those who wish, a donation in her honour could be made to the Cambridge Food Bank.
"Darlings" God said to the birds
“Go now and sing for men are weary of winter
"Go now and bring promise to empty branches"
He scattered them far and wide
