Margaret Hildegarde Van Horne, 84 of Cambridge, Ontario left us peacefully on January 19, 2025.
Born in Sydney Mines, NS to David and Christina Tobin. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Known for her ever-present smile, willingness to help others, and social nature, she was a cherished presence in the lives of those around her. An artist at heart, a baking maestro, and a talented athlete, Marg's accomplishments included winning a gold medal at the senior games in 2011.
Survived by her daughter Heather Henry (Randy), grandchildren, Lea Kuhn (Adam), Erica Henry (Kyle Pullin), David Gracie (Nicole Schivas), Ben Brenner, Darren Gracie (Ruschel), Nicole Henry-Holbrook (Patrick), Rachel Henry (Anthony) and Zachary Tompkins. Great grandchildren Kaden Gracie, Henry Gracie, Isabelle Kuhn. Brother James Tobin (Lola) and nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband Everett Van Horne, daughter Wendy Tompkins (David), and son Earl Gracie. Sisters Sarah MacDermid, Celia Lyons, Bridgette Priestman, and brothers John, David, and Sonny.
Margaret will be laid to rest in Bloomfield Ridge, NB, where her loving husband, Buck is waiting for her to reunite with him.
