John Dolson and W.G. Johnson pools will start swimming lessons Feb. 8

The city will reopen its two indoor pools on Feb. 7.

The John Dolson and W.G. Johnson pools will open to public swims in accordance with public health guidelines around COVID that encourage visitors to book their spot in advance.

Swimmers must also participate in mandatory pre-screening, provide information for contact tracing, and marked attendance.

Mandatory proof of vaccine and ID will be taken at the point of each entry and face coverings are required at all times, except when swimming.

Residents are asked to visit the swim Schedules page to review the programs available and for more information on what to expect at city pools.

Winter swimming lessons will start on February 8 and be offered as a drop-in program with weekly registration.

This adjustment will offer residents increased scheduling flexibility during these uncertain times.

A variety of time slots are available on Tuesday and Thursday at John Dolson and Saturday at W.G. Johnson—all requiring parent participation.

It is recommended to book your spot in advance as class sizes are limited with current capacity restrictions. Level completion will not be available in this modified format.
