Waterloo regional police say they made a post on X in error this morning.
Communications officer Const. Melissa Quarrie said in an email that a post made around 7:30 this morning was done in error.
"Our program posted an old post. The old one has been removed and replaced with the correct one already," she wrote.
The original X said police had closed Mercer Road in Cambridge between Samuelson Street and Bronson Avenue for an investigation.
That old post was from Nov. 6.
