A 41-year-old Kitchener man was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious physical injuries following a stabbing early this morning in Kitchener.
Waterloo regional police and emergency services responded to an apartment building on Garment Street for a report of a stabbing around 2:40 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers located a male victim with stab wounds.
An unknown suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.
Investigators believe the suspect and victim are known to each other.
There will continue to be a police presence in the area as WRPS’ General Investigations Unit members continue the investigation.
