The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) is proud to announce it has been recognized as one of Southwestern Ontario’s Top Employers for 2025. This recognition highlights the Service’s commitment to providing an exceptional workplace for its members.
As the seventh-largest police service in Ontario, WRPS employs 1,262 dedicated members who serve the municipalities of Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge, as well as the Townships of Wellesley, Wilmot, Woolwich, and North Dumfries.
“It is an incredible honour for the Waterloo Regional Police Service to be recognized as one of Southwestern Ontario’s Top Employers for 2025,” said Mark Crowell, Chief of Police.“ This recognition is a testament to the dedication, commitment, and professionalism of our members, who work tirelessly to serve the Waterloo Region community.”
WRPS was also recognized as one of Waterloo Region’s Top Employers on January 14, 2025 - once again being chosen for its dedication to community engagement, prioritizing member mental health and wellbeing, offering flexible work options, providing competitive benefits, and supporting charitable causes.
Launched by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers, Southwestern Ontario’s Top Employers is an annual competition that recognizes leading employers in the region between Lake Huron, Georgian Bay, and Lake Erie, excluding the Greater Toronto Area and Niagara.
