A 16-year-old Cambridge youth has been charged with failing to comply with a release order and failing to comply with a probation order after police found the teen in a stolen vehicle this morning.
Waterloo regional police say on Feb. 4 at around 6:10 a.m., officers responded to the area of Taylor Avenue and Elliott Street for a report of a vehicle that was stolen while warming up.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., officers located the stolen vehicle in the area of King Street East and Waterloo Street. Officers arrested one of the occupants while the second occupant fled the area on foot.
The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are anticipated.
