Road rage led to hate-motivated comments and vehicle damage

Waterloo regional police are investigating a driving dispute in Kitchener that led three motorcycle drivers to make hate-motivated comments and cause damage to a vehicle.

On Oct. 30 at around 10:25 p.m., police responded to a report of property damage stemming from a dispute in the area of Fairway Road North and River Road.

Two males in a vehicle and three males on motorcycles engaged in a dispute over driving behaviours, and the motorcyclists made hate-motivated comments toward the two victims and caused damage to their vehicle. The motorcyclists were last seen heading east on Upper Mercer Street.

No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

The investigation remains ongoing by officers from WRPS’ Neighbourhood Policing Central Division.
