Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a Kitchener male after a firearm investigation Saturday night.
At around 8:40 p.m. March 1, police responded to the area of Monte Carlo Street and Victoria Street South in Kitchener for reports of a person who may have been in possession of a firearm.
Upon arrival, police located the male and found a loaded firearm in his possession, according to a news release.
A 31-year-old Kitchener man was arrested and charged with multiple offences, including possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and failure to comply with a release order.
There were no reported physical injuries.
The suspect will be held for a bail hearing.
