Police allege Cambridge man sexually assaulted two restaurant employees

A 32-year-old Cambridge man has been charged with multiple offences, including sexual assault with a weapon after police say he broke into a Cambridge restaurant's drive-thru window and assaulted two employees early this morning.

Waterloo regional police said on March 11, at around 12:15 a.m., officers responded to reports of a sexual assault at a business in the area of Eagle Street North and Hespeler Road.

An unknown male gained entry through a drive-thru window and sexually assaulted two employees who were in the business at the time. The male used a weapon during the altercation which resulted in the employees suffering minor non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers quickly responded to the location where the male was located and arrested.

The 32-year-old Cambridge male has been charged with multiple offences including sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, and break enter.

The male was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
