Check security cameras after attempted break-in at Kitchener home

Police are asking people in the area of Maywood Road and Woodhaven Road to check their footage on March 7 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a residential break and enter in the Kitchener.

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Break, Enter and Vehicle Theft Team said unknown suspects attempted to forcibly enter a home in the area of Maywood Road and Woodhaven Road last Friday.

Police are asking nearby residents check their personal security cameras in the area from March 7, between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

WRPS’ Break, Enter, and Vehicle Theft Team is asking residents to consider the following tips to help prevent break-ins:

  • Keep doors and windows locked, even when home
  • Keep valuables out of common areas and out of plain sight
  • Secure residences with home video surveillance cameras in the front and back of the residence
