Original information:
One person is in hospital with serious injuries following a late afternoon collision in Cambridge on Tuesday.
It happened in the area of Hespeler Road and Sheldon Drive shortly after 5 p.m.
Waterloo regional police say an SUV was being driven erratically while travelling northbound on Hespeler Road.
It then struck two other vehicles before leaving the road, crashing through a bus shelter, then hitting a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was transported to a hospital outside the region with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The drivers of the other two vehicles were not hurt. The driver and passenger of the SUV were taken to hospital as a precaution.
The alleged driver of the SUV has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.
Police say further charges are expected.
