Cambridge man arrested for impaired driving following collision, police say
The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Neighbourhood Policing North Division has laid charges after the vehicle struck three parked cars in Waterloo.
On Feb. 6 at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers responded to the area of Bridgeport Road East and Moore Avenue North after a report of a collision.
Through the investigation, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle left the roadway, struck a snowbank and went airborne. The vehicle slid down a pathway and landed on top of three parked cars.
Two passengers, both 23-year-old were transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, a 28-year-old Cambridge male was arrested for impaired driving.
As a result of the investigation, the driver was charged with:
- Operation while impaired
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration
- Dangerous operation
