Margaret Rosetta Scott, a beloved teacher, world traveler, and cherished friend to many, passed away peacefully in her home in Cambridge, Ontario.

Born in Galt, Ontario, and raised in Branchton, Margaret had a lifelong love for learning and community, which she shared generously throughout her life.

Margaret attended Galt Collegiate Institute & Vocational School and later McMaster University, where she nurtured her passion for education. She went on to teach business at Glenview Secondary School and served as the Head of the Business Department at Southwood Secondary School, where her dedication to her students and her field left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

A devoted member of the First United Church in Galt, Ontario, Margaret lived a life of service and faith. Her adventures took her around the world with her dear sister Wilma, with whom she shared a close bond.

Predeceased by her sisters Wilma and Mary, and her brother John. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews Edward (Pauline), Harold predeceased (Sylvia), John (Bernadette predeceased), Wayne predeceased, Douglas, Margaret Mantler, Mary (Bryon) Davies.

Margaret’s legacy of kindness, curiosity and dedication will be remembered by her family, friends, former students, and her community. Her memory will continue to inspire those who knew her to live with the same grace and warmth that she shared in her lifetime.

Visitation will be held at Coutts Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 96 St Andrews Street, Cambridge on Monday, November 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the service beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel. A reception will follow. Interment will be held at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
