Our amazing and much-adored beautiful daughter Anne died quietly on October 23rd, 2024 at Toronto General Hospital. She was 46.

Born and raised in Cambridge, Ontario, Anne dealt with serious medical issues her entire life, but that didn't stop her from attacking her life with gusto. Her passions were theatre, music and travel.

Anne's career path eventually took her to the National Ballet of Canada, where she rose through the ranks to become Patron Services Manager. Amanda Ram, Interim Executive Director and CEO, delivered this wonderful tribute to Anne for ballet staff after learning of her passing.

"Anne will be deeply missed not only for her intelligence, big laugh and wicked sense of humour but also for her unwavering love of our company and the exceptional care she provided to our patrons over the years. Her dedication made a lasting impact, felt in the hearts of many who worked alongside her.

Outside of her role with us, Anne had nearly 20 years of experience in directing, producing and managing theatre performances. Her contributions to the arts community were vast, and her passion for the performing arts extended far beyond her work here."

Anne is survived by her loving parents Sue and Phil; aunts and uncles Marcy (Dave), Gord (Katy), Greg (Kathy); cousins Tim (Megan), Peter, Eric, Ben and Amanda; and, last but not least her "best buddy" Leo.

Thanks to Jennifer and Audrey with the KG Group for their support and kindness.

Thanks also to the National Ballet of Canada for allowing Anne to continue to work from home at the job she loved even as she grappled with illness.

A huge thank you to the highly skilled, dedicated and compassionate doctors, nurses and staff with the MSICU (for transplant patients) at Toronto General Hospital.

And finally, thank you to Dr. Riccardo Superina, now at the Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago, who - in 1994 at SickKids in Toronto - performed the transplant surgery that gave Anne another 30 years of life she would not have had otherwise.

Donations to honour Anne's memory could be made to SickKids Hospital, Toronto General Hospital, or Mattie's Place Animal Rescue Service in Toronto.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service at this time, but a Celebration of Life is being considered for the Spring of 2025. Details will be announced at a later date.
