It is with a heart full of cherished memories that we announce the peaceful passing of Thelma Hilts (nee Homeniuk) on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, at the age of 91. Born on June 1, 1933, in Saskatchewan, Thelma's vibrant spirit and joy for life touched everyone she met.
She was a devoted mother to Jerry Hilts, Diane Mooney (Rick), and Sonja Hilts, instilling in them the values of kindness and resilience.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, and was the utmost loving Baba of Josh (Kerri), Jordan (Shannon), Jamie, and David. Thelma was the proud Great-Baba of Harper, Lennon, and Oaklynn. Each will carry forward her zest for life and the memories of her unconditional love.
Thelma lived a life marked by love, laughter, and the rhythm of dance, which brought her immense joy. Thelma's presence was a gift to us all, and her memory will dance in our hearts forever. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.

At Thelma’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at Corbett Funeral Home (95 Dundas St. N) on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 12:30pm until the time of the service at 2:30pm with Rev. Mark Sneath officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Arthritis Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family (payable by cheque or online following the link below).
