Sharon Herrington, 77, of Cambridge, Ontario passed away peacefully into the arms of her loving Saviour on Thursday, October 17th, 2024 after a lengthy battle with dementia.
Loving mother of Donna (Jeff) Fisher, grandmother of Joel (Sierra) Fisher and Jessica (Jon) Hartwick and great-grandmother to Barrett and Roman Hartwick. Predeceased by husband Kenneth Herrington and daughter Debbie (Mike) Wolter.
Sharon worked at Long Manufacturing/Dana Inc. for over 45 years and remained friends with a special group of ladies who loved to celebrate birthdays together. She was known as the “candy lady” and would often bring in homemade baking demonstrating her kindheartedness and generosity with her fellow workers. Prior to Sharon’s battle with dementia she enjoyed doing ceramics, cooking and spoiling her two dogs. Throughout her journey with and without dementia she loved spending time with family and friends.
Special thanks to Dr. T. Hughes, nurses and staff at Hilltop Manor who lovingly provided care as well as to Heather Gordon from Warm Embrace who treated her like family. Sharon always looked forward to having Heather come and never wanted her to leave.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Temple Baptist Church, 400 Holiday Inn Drive, Cambridge on Monday, November 4th from 10:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m with the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow at Temple Baptist Church.
