Debra Ann Comfort, 67, passed away on October 23, 2024, in Cambridge, Ontario. Born on June 4, 1957, Debbie, as she was affectionately known, lived a life marked by kindness, intelligence, and an uplifting spirit.

Debbie's career was as vibrant as her personality. Starting as an ice-skating coach, she transitioned to coaching roller skating, eventually managing several roller rinks across southern Ontario. Alongside her husband, Gene Reaume, she co-founded Comfort Computers and Teqdirect Network Management, retiring in 2016. Her professional journey was a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to her community.

An avid roller skater, Debbie's passion for the sport was evident throughout her life. She was also an accomplished golfer, loved her extensive travels and took great joy in her home and gardens. Her winters in Florida with Gene were filled with warmth and friendship, creating memories cherished by all who knew her.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Gene Reaume; her mother, Audrey Comfort; her brother, Mark Comfort, along with his wife, Bunny and her close cousin Lisa Galasso who has been at Debs side unconditionally during her times of illness these past few years along with all of her extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Comfort, whose memory and love she held close.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home.  In accordance with Debbie’s expressed wishes, cremation has already taken place.  A time and place for a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.  In Debbie’s memory, donations to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
