Halloween just ended, there's no snow on the ground yet, but that doesn't mean you can't get excited about what for many is the most wonderful time of the year. The Cambridge Santa Claus Parade is just a little over two weeks away.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be returning to Cambridge on Nov. 16 and drive down Hespeler Road to spread holiday cheer.
The parade will start at 6 p.m. and move onto Hespeler Road from Dunbar Road. As the floats make their way down the street, the parade will turn off Hespeler Road at Langs Drive.
Hespeler Road from Dunbar to Langs will be closed starting at 4:30 p.m. for approximately three hours. The detour route starts on Can-Amera Parkway to Conestoga Boulevard.
"Police and security personnel will be controlling traffic, including exiting parking lots along Hespeler Road. Please be cautious and listen to their instruction," said the organizers on their website.
"There is plenty of parking lots along the parade route. Please remember that it is a first come first serve basis and store specific parking spaces are still in effect if labelled."
The Cambridge Santa Claus Parade has been operating for over 50 years and has seen bands, local businesses and clubs help ring in the holiday season with floats, songs and lights.
