Another Preston landmark is up for sale as The Cambridge Restaurant hopes the new owners can continue its 88-year legacy

After 10 years, the owner of the Cambridge Restaurant is ready to pass the torch. 

The restaurant, which has been operating under various owners for close to 90 years is considered one of Waterloo region's oldest eateries. 

Located at 752 King St. E. in the heart of Preston, the business is listed on MLS for $249,000.

Known for its family-oriented and home-style cooking, the restaurant specializes in burgers, sandwiches, breakfast and a community-focused attitude. 

Hayward took to social media to speak about the sale, noting that there's no avoiding the news that it's for sale.

"We are still operating business as usual as we seek a new buyer who will continue with what we have developed over the past 10 years," he said. "This process could be quick or it could take months to years."

Hayward adds that his staff is committed to continue cooking and serving Cambridge the delicious food they have garnered a name for.
