As the LCBO is closed due to a strike, thieves in Cambridge are determined to avoid a dry summer.
Police have confirmed that a commercial break-in on Sunday was at a local LCBO store on Cedar Street.
At around 5:35 a.m., police responded to the break-and-enter near Cedar Street and Berkley Road.
According to Cherri Greeno, manager of communications for WRPS, several high-value liquor cases were stolen.
Police note that three unknown suspects broke into the store by ramming a truck into the loading dock door.
Two suspects then entered the store and stole the cases of liquor, while the third remained outside with the vehicle.
There is no damage or loss estimate as police are still investigating the incident.
The LCBO did not respond to requests for comments.
The robbery comes just a few days after nearly 10,000 LCBO workers began a two-week strike amid a fallout with the provincial government over increased sales of liquor in convenience and grocery stores.
Police describe the first suspect is as a white male with a heavy build, wearing a light-coloured shirt, black pants, and black shoes.
The second suspect is described as a white male with a slim build, wearing a grey sweatshirt, black jeans, and grey running shoes.
The third suspect is described as a white male with a slim build, wearing all black.
