Wellesley woman killed in Tuesday morning crash

A Kitchener woman was airlifted to an out-of-region hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Unit are investigating a fatal collision in Wilmot Township.

On July 23, 2024, at 8:30 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a Toyota sedan and a Chevrolet sedan on Nafziger Road at Berlett's Road.

The driver of the Toyota, a 75-year-old Wellesley female, was transported to hospital and was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 47-year-old Kitchener female, was airlifted to an out-of-region hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours for the police investigation and has since been reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
