The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) will welcomes Recruit Class No. 117 to its ranks at a badging ceremony at the North Dumfries Community Complex in Ayr on Friday.

Sixteen new Constables have completed their basic training at the Ontario Police College and will be officially sworn in during the ceremony.

"Before joining WRPS, the new members studied, worked and volunteered in a variety of fields that will benefit WRPS and the community."

The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. and includes members of the police service board, WRPS senior leadership team, the Ontario Court of Justice, volunteers, family and friends.
