A shooting in the area of Lena Crescent and Pamela Lane, near Cambridge Centre Mall, is under investigation by police tonight.
Over 20 officers including a canine unit searched the townhome complex, checking under cars and backyards for suspects involved in the shooting.
At approximately 8:35 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting incident in the area of Lena Crescent and Pamela Lane.
Upon arrival, police located a deceased 40-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Another adult male was found with gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police currently are looking for the suspects involved.
Residents can expect a heavy police presence and should avoid the area.
WRPS information officer Chris Iden told CambridgeToday that "the investigation is still early and details are being obtained."
Police are asking that anyone with information to contact police immediately.
