Waterloo regional police are appealing to the public for information that might lead to suspects who broke into a home in Cambridge yesterday afternoon

Police said on Nov. 26, between 4 p.m. and 5:50 p.m. thieves targeted a home on Glenvalley Drive near Shadeland Court.

The residence was unoccupied while the suspects entered and stole jewelry and cash.

Police believe the suspects accessed the home using a walking path between Saginaw Parkway and Glenvalley Drive and likely had a vehicle parked at one of the exits from the park.

They are asking residents to check their home security cameras for any suspicious people or vehicles in the area during this time.

This is the second break and enter in this area since the beginning of November. Both were at homes near walking paths and occurred in the early evening.

Police are recommending residents to leave interior lights on and to call Waterloo Regional Police if any suspicious activity is noticed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 519-570-9777.
