Police arrested a 30-year-old Kitchener man and located a replica firearm and drugs during a high-risk arrest yesterday afternoon.
Waterloo regional police believed the suspect had a firearm when they located the suspect near Traynor and Wilson avenues around 5 p.m. July 31.
The drugs and firearms unit, with the assistance of the emergency response team, located and arrested a male following a lengthy investigation into the trafficking of illicit drugs in the community.
The man was found in possession of a replica firearm, controlled substances, and Canadian currency.
He was charged with five counts of breaching a court order, possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance, and multiple weapon-related charges.
The man was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
