Drug investigation leads to trafficking charges.
In January 2025, the Woodstock Police Service Criminal Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Unit (Drugs and Intel) initiated a drug trafficking investigation. As a result of the investigation, on the 27th of January 2025, with the assistance of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Emergency Response Team, a search warrant was executed in the City of Woodstock and a male was arrested in relation to the investigation.
A 35-year-old male from Woodstock has been charged and held for a bail hearing:
• Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (fentanyl)
• Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (methamphetamine)
• Possession of a Schedule 1 Substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine)
• Two counts of Failing to comply with Probation
Police seized an approximate street value of $35,400 worth of fentanyl, $9,300 of methamphetamine and $1,700 of cocaine.
Total Street value $46,400.
