Police searching for Toronto man wanted after Waterloo shooting last year

Waterloo Regional Police are seeking assistance to locate a male wanted in connection to a 2024 shooting incident in Waterloo.

On May 18, at approximately 11 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting at a business located in the area of King Street North and University Avenue West.

Through investigation, police determined that a disturbance occurred while suspects were inside the business and shots were fired.

Jalen Belle-McCormack, 20, from Toronto, is currently wanted on a warrant in connection to this incident. Charges include:

  • Careless use of firearm
  • Carry concealed weapon
  • Utter threats
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Point firearm
  • Fail to comply with a judicial order (two counts)
  • Breach probation

Mr. Belle-McCormack is known to frequent the Greater Toronto Area and Hamilton.
