Waterloo Regional Police are investigating an assault in Waterloo.
On Feb. 26, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault with a weapon in the area of Erb Street West and Caroline Street South.
A male was walking in the area when approached by four unknown individuals. A confrontation occurred, and the male victim was attacked by the group. The victim sustained multiple injuries by an edged weapon.
The suspects fled before police arrival.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
