Waterloo Regional Police say a man has been charged after two people were sprayed with a "noxious substance" yesterday in Kitchener.
On Sept. 14, police responded to the incident in the area of Sheldon Avenue North and King Street East.
Police said investigation indicated the victims, an 18-year-old female and a 24-year-old male, were approached by a man who was known to them.
"An altercation took place and the two were sprayed with a noxious substance resulting in minor injuries," police said in a news release.
Following an investigation, a 27-year-old Kitchener male was charged with multiple offences including two counts of assault with a weapon and two counts of administering a noxious substance, police said.
Police said the accused was held for a bail hearing.
