Police have released an image of a person wanted for questioning in connection with an armed robbery at a Kitchener gas station on Saturday.

Waterloo Regional Police say on Sept. 7 at around 1:50 a.m., officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a gas station in the area of Margaret Avenue and Guelph Street. 

An unknown suspect attended the business on foot, wielded a knife, and demanded cash from an employee before fleeing the area, heading north towards Margaret Avenue, police said in a news release.

There were no physical injuries reported. 

Police earlier described the suspect as white, with a heavy build, wearing a brown hoodie, blue jeans, and dark shoes.

"Investigators would like to identify and speak with the individual pictured below in connection to this incident," police said.
