Police investigating residential break-ins in Cambridge, Kitchener

Police are looking to speak with an individual in connection with an investigation of break-ins inCambridge and Kitchener.

Police are warning residents in the area of Dundas Street South and Beaverdale Road in Cambridge to check security cameras for suspicious people or vehicles following four daytime break-ins yesterday.

Waterloo regional police say on Jan. 21, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., an unknown suspect(s) gained entry to four homes in the area of Thomas Slee Drive in Kitchener, and the area of Dundas Street South and Beaverdale Road in Cambridge.

Once inside, the suspect stole property and fled the area.

Investigators are looking to identify and speak with this individual in connection to the investigation. 

Waterloo Regional Police are reminding residents of the following tips to help prevent break-ins:

  • Keep doors and windows locked, even when home
  • Keep valuables out of common areas and out of plain sight
  • Secure residences with home video surveillance cameras in the front and back of the residence
