Police investigated armed, targeted home invasion in Kitchener

A man who forced himself into a home while brandishing a firearm early this morning in Kitchener remains at large.

Waterloo regional police said the home invasion happened around 1:50 a.m. in the Stanley Park neighborhood.

The male suspect forcefully entered the residence looking for a specific individual then left on foot prior to police arrival.

No items were stolen from the residence and there are no reports of any physical injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6’2’’, and wearing all black.

Investigating officers believe this is a targeted incident.

The investigation is currently being handled by members of WRPS’ Robbery Unit.
