A Cambridge driver is having a rough start to their new year as they were caught allegedly travelling almost 80km/h over the speed limit.
According to police, last night members of thier Traffic Services Unit were conducting proactive speed enforcement along Hespeler Road and stopped a driver after allegedly travelling 158 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
The driver, a 34-year-old Cambridge male, was charged with speeding and stunt driving.
His licence was suspended for 30 days, and his vehicle was seized for 14 days.
Police want to remind everyone to slowdown for the safety of all road users.
