Kitchener - Cambridge - Region of Waterloo, Ont.
Current details:
Winter weather travel advisory in effect.
Hazards:
Local snowfall amounts of 5 to 15 cm.
Reduced visibility at times in heavy snow and local blowing snow.
Timing:
This afternoon through Sunday morning.
Discussion:
Lake effect snow off Lake Huron will continue through Sunday morning. The worst conditions are expected for areas to the west and northwest of Kitchener. Northwest winds gusting up to 60 km/h may result in local blowing snow giving reduced visibility at times.
Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly.
Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
