Two arrested in connection with Cambridge assault, break-and-enter

Incident occurred in area of King Street East and Union

On Dec. 21, at approximately 11:40 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault in the area of King Street East and Union Street.

Through the investigation, it was determined that the victim, a 21-year-old male was assaulted by two suspects while outside a residence. The victim returned to the residence and shortly after the two suspects forced entry into the residence and continued to assault the victim.

As a result of the investigation, a 17-year-old Cambridge youth was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault
  • Assault cause bodily harm
  • Break-and-enter

A 48-year-old Cambridge male was arrested and charged with:

  • Assault cause bodily harm
  • Break-and-enter
  • Assault with a weapon

Both individuals were held for a bail hearing.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
