Another body has been found in Cambridge, this time an adult male was found deceased near a dumpster in Preston.

At around 11:50 a.m. an employee from Harvard Machine LTD. in Preston made a shocking discovery when he found a deceased male near the shop.

"My employee went out to take a pee and then he finds a body. What kind of world are we living in where this is okay," asked Slavica Dolibic, owner of Harvard Machine LTD.

She noted that the shop is sandwiched between two railway lines right near the Preston No Frills and the area is often used by individuals who use drugs. Over the past few years, she was afraid that one day she would find someone dead outside her work.

No information on a cause of death has yet been released.

"I've been managing this place for over 20 years and it's never been this bad," she said. "Every morning I drive to work and I see people falling asleep on the street; it should not be like this."

In a post on X around 1 p.m., Waterloo regional police said their investigation into a sudden death is underway and more details will follow.

Dolibic adds that something has to be done about the current state of the city and more supports need to be offered to those living on the streets and using drugs or more people are going to find bodies like she did this morning.

"I think about my kids and it pains me, but no one should have to go through this," Dolibic said with tears in her eyes. "This looked like a young man. Young people should be living their lives, not laying down to die near a dumpster."

The investigation comes about seven hours after police were called to Soper Park for a missing child investigation that ended with the discovery of a two-year-old boy's body.
