Cambridge man one of three killed in Wellesley Township collision

A Cambridge man was one of three people killed this morning when the Tesla he was driving collided with a Ram pickup truck in Wellesley Township, say regional police.

They say around 9:40 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a Tesla and Ram at the intersection of Hessen Strasse and Greenwood Hill Road.

The driver of the Tesla, a 25-year-old Cambridge man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 30-year-old Kitchener man who was  passenger in the Tesla was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 23-year-old Kitchener female passenger in the Tesla was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.

A 23-year-old Kitchener male passenger was transported to an out-of-region hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 28-year-old man, and the passenger, a 28-year-old woman, both from Perth County, were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Roads in the area were closed for several hours for the investigation and have since been reopened.

The investigation is ongoing.
