On Jan. 31 at approximately 7:30 p.m., police responded to the area of Moore Avenue South and Roger Street for a report of a male following a female who was walking her dog on Roger Street.

The male crossed the street to walk directly behind the female and attempted to engage her in conversation. The female increased her pace and told the male to leave her alone and fled to a nearby residence when the male continued to follow her.

The male then attempted to gain access to the residence and committed an indecent act outside at the side door of the home.

North Patrol officers located the male and placed him under arrest. There were no physical injuries reported.

As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Kitchener male was charged with criminal harassment, two counts of committing an indecent act, and breaking-and-entering a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence.

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
