One charged after police respond to Cambridge break and enter in progress

The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Neighbourhood Policing South Division has made an arrest after responding to a break and enter in Cambridge.

On Feb. 9, 2022, at approximately 12:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a construction site in the area of Dundas Street South and Maple Bush Drive. Upon arrival, officers located a male, hiding under a vehicle, and placed him under arrest.

As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Cambridge male has been charged with:

  • Break and enter
  • Possession of break-in instruments

The male was also wanted on four outstanding warrants for charges including possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking (two counts), break and enter and fail to attend court (four counts. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
