Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate a collision on Maple Grove Road.

On Oct. 25, 2021 at approximately 3:35 p.m., emergency services responded to the area of Maple Grove Road near Beavercreek Road in Cambridge for a multi-vehicle collision.

A blue Volkswagen Jetta was traveling east on Maple Grove Road when it crossed the centreline and struck an International Transport trailer traveling west on Maple Grove Road.

The force of the collision caused one of the tires on the trailer to eject, which struck a third vehicle, a Toyota Venza.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the Jetta, a 21-year-old Cambridge male was transported to Cambridge Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours during the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
