Two Cambridge teens are facing several charges following a buy-and-sell robbery in which a victim was sprayed with a noxious substance and assaulted.

Waterloo regional police say on Feb. 13, at around 10:10 a.m., officers responded to the area of Chalmers Street South and South Street for a reported robbery.

The victim had arranged to meet the suspect to sell a cell phone posted on a buy-and-sell website.

The victim met at the agreed location and was confronted by two individuals with their faces covered.

Police allege the suspects administered a noxious substance and stole the cell phone. The suspects then assaulted the victim and fled the area on foot.

Officers located both suspects nearby and arrested them.

As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old male and a 13-year-old youth, both from Cambridge, were arrested and charged with disguise with intent, robbery with weapon, administering a noxious thing with intent to endanger life or cause bodily harm, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose and assault.

The 19-year-old male was held for a bail hearing.
