Man facing several charges after police find a stolen motorcycle

Officers say they seized a stolen driver’s licence, suspected hydromorphone and two prohibited weapons

A Kitchener man is facing several charges after Waterloo Regional Police found a stolen motorcycle in Cambridge.

Just after 9 p.m. Saturday, police were told a person appeared to be painting a motorcycle in the area of Main Street.

Arriving officers determined both the motorcycle and its licence plate had been reported stolen.

That led to them seizing a stolen driver’s licence, suspected hydromorphone and two prohibited weapons.

The 31-year-old suspect has been charged with: 

  • Possession of Stolen Property Over $5,000
  • Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000
  • Possess Identity Document
  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
  • Breach of Probation Order
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon (two counts)
  • Possession of a Weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order (two counts)

He’s being held for a bail hearing.
